Hello Members
Over the past two years I have been busy with and enjoyed a role as a Canadian Representative and member of the Global Advisory Council (GAC) to the International Collaboration of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ICPAN) Board of Directors (BOD). I have submitted my CV for the Secretary position for the ICPAN BOD and will soon know there decision in Sydney Australia at the Global Biennial ICPAN Conference November 1-4, 2017. I wish you were all coming with us. With this move my position on the GAC will be available to a NAPAN member. As a member of MAPAN you are a member of our national association, NAPAN.
I have enjoyed being part of this dynamic group of nurses from around the globe. This is an opportunity for another Canadian nurse to represent Canada on the international stage. The position would be a 2 year term. There is no requirement to be a secretary or treasurer or chair of any kind. Each meeting to date involves a nurse from all member countries (13) discussing global issues and participating by reviewing documents that have been created by ICPAN. Roles can and will change as we grow as an organization. The GAC meet every third Tuesday of the month @ 1500 hours Central Standard Time for one hour. See attached job description.
